#FirstFriday: June Exhibitions We Love!
June 2, 2022Every month, we highlight exhibitions, group shows, events, and workshops that feature WSW artists, we share the shows near and far that make up our monthly must-see list.
New York
Andrea Chung (Studio Residency Grant ’16) has work in a group exhibition, everything slackens in a wreck, at the Ford Foundation Gallery. The show opened June 1, 2022 and is on view until August 20, 2022.
Kay Healy (Malmö Studio Residency ’18) will have work featured in a group exhibition, Yes, And, at the Staten Island Museum. The show is on view from June 10, 2022 until March 26, 2023.

Tate Klacsmann (Studio Workspace Residency ’15) has work in a two-person exhibition with artist Alan Coon at the historic Hudson Hall in Hudson, NY. The show will be on view June 25, 2022 to August 28th, 2022 with an opening reception on Saturday, June 25 from 5 – 7pm.

Amelia Toelke (Ora Schneider Regional Residency Grant ’21) will have three works on display in an outdoor group exhibition, “Florescence”, at the Turley Gallery. The artwork in the show are sculptures of large scale pin-back buttons that were first shown as a multi-site public art installation in 2020 in Rochester, NY. The indoor/outdoor show will be on view from May 7, 2022 to June 19, 2022 and there will be on opening reception May 7 from 3-5pm.
Tatana Kellner (WSW) has work up in a group exhibition, FOCUS ON THE FLATFILES: Personal Matters, on view at the Kentler International Drawing Space. The gallery is free and open to the public, the exhibition closes this weekend on June 5, 2022.
Ohio
Mary Jo Bole (Studio Residency Grant ’99) will be having a closing reception for her solo show at the William Busta Projects in Cleveland. The show closes this Saturday, June 4, 2022.
New Mexico

Maya Beverly (Right Now! Production Grant ’20) is having a solo exhibition, Motherboard, opening at Kouri and Corrao Gallery in Santa Fe. The show will be on view from June 3, 2022 to July 2, 2022.
Michigan
Emmy Bright (SAI Instructor ’22) is in a group exhibition, Mighty Real/Queer Detroit: Other Arrangements, at the David Klein Gallery. The show is on view from June 4, 2022 until July 9, 2022. An opening reception will be held on June 4 from 2-7pm.
Minnesota
Savannah Bustillo (Studio Internship ’19) has work in a culminating group show, 2022 Jerome Early Career Printmakers Exhibition, at the Highpoint Center for Printmaking. The show is currently on view until June 11, 2022.
Wisconsin
Hannah O’Hare Bennett (Art-in-Ed Workspace Resident ’19) has a solo show currently up, Old Cloth and New Paper, currently on display at the Canvas Gallery at the Garver Feed Mill. The show is currently on view until July 10th, 2022.
Tennessee
Leslie Nichols (Studio Residency Grant ’15) will be teaching a workshop, Scripto-Visual Drawing, at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Craft from July 17-22, 2022. Registration ends on June 17, 2022.
Pennsylvania
Vanessa Adams (Art-in-Education Workspace Residency ’17), Mary Tremonte (Studio Residency Grant ’19), and Andrea Narno (SAI Instructor ’22) have a group exhibition, Lavender Esspresso, up at Esspresso A Mano. The show is currently on view until July 31, 2022.
