Meet & Make

Meet & Make Mondays at WSW are a time to gather in community and dedicate time to making together. Bring a friend or make some new ones while attending! Meetings will be once a month on Mondays between 6PM to 8PM, drop in or stay awhile. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided as we explore different themes each month. No experience needed and skillshare is encouraged! Materials will be provided but feel free to bring in additional supplies or projects you are working on. A suggested sliding scale donation of $5-20 is encouraged but no one is turned away for lack of funds.

Please RSVP if you plan on attending any of our sessions. While not required, this will help us best prepare the amount of supplies and snacks to provide for the event. Thank you <3
Our mission with Meet & Make is to create a safe, fun “third space,” and make crafting accessible to all! Meet & Make nights fully fund themselves, meaning all donations we receive go directly back into the program. If you’d like to support this new program, you can make a donation here.Â

September 14: Mend with a Friend
Do you have a pile of clothes that need repair or garments you want to alter? Bring them to this month’s Meet & Make and revamp your wardrobe! Hand mending supplies, like needles, thread, embroidery floss, and fabric glue, will be available for shared use. Plus, simple printing methods will be available to make patches or print directly onto clothing. Not sure how to mend? We can help!
Please note: This is not a workshop. Examples and printed instructions will be available as resources. Skillshare is encouraged, and we’re happy to figure it out together.

October 5: Emboss Like a Boss
Let’s dive into the shiny world of tin embossing at this month’s Meet & Make! Transform plain sheets of metal into garland, ornaments, frames, and so much more. We’ll have tin/aluminum, embossing tools, and more available for shared use. Please keep in mind this craft uses metal that may have sharp edges. If children are attending, they must be supervised at all times.
Please note: This is not a workshop. Examples and printed instructions will be available as resources. Skillshare is encouraged, and we’re happy to figure it out together.
Items that may be useful to bring along with you:
- Photos, if you’re interested in making frames
- Printed designs that you can trace
November 9: Cut & Paste: Collage Night
This month’s Meet & Make will focus on collage. Make stationery, a new piece to decorate your walls, or work in your sketchbook. Magazines, funky paper scraps, scissors, and glue will be provided. Come cut and paste with us!
December 7: Felt Fun
This month’s Meet & Make is all about the soft and fuzzy fun of felt! Felt is perfect for crafting because it’s easy to cut and shape, doesn’t fray, and can be glued or sewn. Plus, it’s affordable! We felt it would be fun to play with its endless possibilities. Join us and make anything from cute little guys, ornaments/garland, badges, pennant flags, or whatever else comes to mind!
Please note: This is not a workshop. Examples and printed instructions will be available as resources. Skillshare is encouraged, and we’re happy to figure it out together.
