Emmy Bright
Emmy Bright works in drawing, writing, print and performance. Her work is about the problems of thinking and feeling, of empathy and boundaries, and she continually tries to resolve these paradoxical issues. She has held residencies and taught workshops at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, The Organism for Poetic Research at NYU, Printed Matter in Brooklyn, and the Penland School of Crafts. Her book/deck “More Stupids” was recently published by 3 Hole Press in Brooklyn. She is an Artist in Residence and a department head of Print Media at Cranbrook Academy of Art. Currently she lives and works in Detroit where her work is represented by David Klein Gallery.
