Vanessa Adams is a print and paper artist who arrived at WSW from New Orleans by way of Pittsburgh, where she currently works. For Art-in-Ed, she led students in the papermaking studio, creating large, collaborative paper installations with denim pulp and pulp paint. For her own project, she cast her own paper in a deckle box to print on in the silkscreen studio, where she continued her ongoing series How to Regain Sight.
Vanessa has a BA in Urban Studies from Brown University and has continued her studies at Penland School of Crafts, Louisiana State University, and Tulane University. She’s taught at the community organizations such as New Orleans Community Printshop and the Mattress Factory.
