Highlighting exhibitions that feature the work of WSW artists, we share the shows near and far that make up our monthly must-see list.


New York

Golnar Adili (Legacy Studio Residency Grant 15’, Artist’s Book Residency Grant 21’) artist’sbook, “She Feels Your Absence Deeply”, was reviewed by Megan Liberty for Art in America.

Tatana Kellner (WSW Founder) is teaching a print workshop, HYBRID PRINT: Print, Tear, Glue, Collage, at The D.R.A.W in Kingston, New York. This is a four day workshop happening on Sunday, March 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 10am-1pm.

Tona Wilson (Artist Book Residency Grant 10′, Art-in-Education Artist Book Residency Grant 17′, Studio Workspace Residency 19′) is in a group show titled “Hidden Gardens, an exhibition of work by the artists of ad hoc projects, on view from February 19, 2022 through March 20, 2022 at 1053 Main Street Gallery in Fleischmanns, New York. There will also be a in-person panel discussion on March 12, 2022 at 3pm.


Wisconsin

Hannah Bennett (Art-in-Education Workspace Resident 19’) and community members Mary Hark and Maria Amalia have works included in an exhibition titled “Handmade Paper Stories” at the Museum of Wisconsin Art from March 4, 2022 – May 15, 2022.


Arkansas

Breanne Trammell (Ora Schneider Regional Residency Grant 14’) has a piece titled “poets on defense” which will be on view in an exhibition titled “clock/work” at the Batesville Area Arts Council in Batesville, Arkansas from March 8, 2022 – April 23, 2022.


New Mexico

Edie Tsong (Artist Book Residency Grant 05′) will be reading a poem called “How I Became Miss America” at SITE Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mexico on March 12, 2022 at 10:30am.


California

Bhavna Mehta (Studio Workspace Resident 18’) is showing work in a virtual show titled “Syntax: an arrangement” though Art Produce. Her works will be displayed on her Instagram page @bhavnaumehta and there will be works on display at the Art Produce Gallery in San Diego, California from now until March 12, 2022.

Irene Chan (Studio Intern ’96, Art-in-Education Artist’s Book Residency ’98) has a piece, titled Social Justice Paper Book Necklaces in the group exhibition, “Adaptation: Artist’s Books and Prints for a Changing Environment”, curated by Julie Chen. The exhibition will be on display at the CODEX 2022 Book Fair in Berkeley, California from March 14, 2022 – April 14, 2022.

Breanne Trammell (Ora Schneider Regional Residency Grant 14’) has a solo show titles “Spacing Out” one view at Labor is a Medium, a new artist-run space in Santa Rosa, California. The show is open by appointment on Saturdays from 10am-2pm or by appointment from now until March 26, 2022.


Florida

Maya Beverly (Right Now! Publication Grant Recipient ’20) and Anina Major (Studio Residency Grant 21′) are both showing work in an exhibition titled ‘The Universe Within’ at the Mindy Soloman Gallery in Miami, FL. The show is currently open and will close on March 19, 2022.


Pennsylvania

Imin Yeh (Artist Book Residency Grant 19’) is hosting an open call for Pittsburgh-based artist through her collective E.L. Hymns. The call is for small scale, site responsive installations inside The Chute, a coal chute gallery in the Mexican War Streets. The deadline to apply is March 27, 2022.


Maine

Danae Lagoy (Ora Schneider Regional Residency Grant 19’) made an exhibition catalog which was just released for Jona Franks exhibition titled “Model Home”, on view now at Bowdoin College Museum of Fine Art until June 5, 2022.
