Edie Tsong came from California in 2005 to produce the artists’ book, Scattered memory. In addition to her work as a visual artist, Edie is a writer and the founding director of Cut+Paste Society, based in Santa Fe.

This thoughtfully curated collection developed during TFI’s 2024 Memory Lab and WSW’s 2024 Research Residency Grant, offers a look into WSW’s feminist history from 1978–1996. Explore a treasure trove of materials, including: 📜 Historic newsletters 🖼 Exhibition ephemera 🎨 Class offerings ...and more, now meticulously digitized for discovery. 🔗 Experience the legacy—#LinkInBio. Hudson Valley friends, come support young Kingston Hudson Valley friends, come support young Kingston artists at the opening reception of our upcoming exhibition “Pressing Forward.” The show highlights print and paper works made by high school students from the Kingston City School District (@Kingstoncsd) during their time at WSW for our Art-in-Ed program! The reception will be held at Cornell Creative Arts Center (@ccac.ny) on Friday, December 6th from 6- 8PM. We hope to see you there! Kingston High School students have been coming to WSW’s campus since mid October to work with our artists-in-residence, Charlie Bloede (@charlieroseprints), Ana Fernandez, and Macon Reed (@macon_reed_studio) to learn from working artists and use our studios. The Art-in-Education program is made possible by NoVo (novoinkingston, a branch of the NoVo foundation), Klock Kingston Foundation, and by the New York State Council of the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York Legislature. KCSD and WSW have worked collaboratively on the Hands-on Art (HOA) program for 37 years. Through HOA, we seek to create learning opportunities across art forms that support development over students' school careers, and offer numerous opportunities that enhance understanding of the arts. We also hope that by demonstrating partnerships among an ecosystem of community institutions, we will help students to foster a lifelong commitment to community and civic participation. HOA serves students in the Kingston City School District and their communities. Through WSW’s partnership, KCSD is able to expand its arts education services, giving students access to a level of visual arts instruction and equipment that would be otherwise unavailable.
