December 6, 2018Highlighting exhibitions that feature the work of WSW artists, we share the shows near and far that make up our monthly must-see list.
New York
Jennifer Grimyser (Artist’s Book Residency Grant ’08; Studio Workspace Residency ’07) has work in The 2019 Flat File: Year Six hosted by Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Brooklyn, NY. The show is on view until December 16th.
Zarina Hashmi (Artist’s Book Residency Grant ’91) has a solo show entitled Zarina at Luhring Augustine Gallery, New York, NY. The exhibition runs through December 22nd.
Alayna Rasile-Digrindakis (Chili Bowl Workspace Residency ’12) is exhibiting in the group show Object Intimacies hosted by NURTUREart Non-profit, Brooklyn, New York. The show will be on view through January 13th.
Lucy Holtsnider (Art-In-Education Residency ’18) is exhibiting work made here at WSW in the International Print Center New York (IPCNY) New Prints/2019 show. The exhibition runs from January 17 to March 23, 2019. The opening reception will be on Thursday, January 17 from 6 to 8pm, with artists’ talks at 6:30pm and a special preview at 5pm.
Massachusetts
Heidi Neilson (Artist’s Book Residency Grant ’10, ’04; Studio Workspace Residency ’06) has works on view at Tufts University through the Spring as part of TuftsPUBLIC: Wave Farm-in-Residence.
Fafnir Adamites (Studio Residency Grant ’17) has a solo exhibition, Content, at Readywipe Gallery, Holyoke, MA. The show runs through January 25th.
Maine
Erin Woodbrey (Studio Internship ’07) is exhibiting work in the 20th edition of the CMCA Biennial, Rockland, ME. The Biennial will remain on view through March 3, 2019
California
Jayoung Yoon (Ora Schneider Regional Residency Grant ’18) has a solo exhibition, Seeing the Threshold, at San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, San Jose, CA. The work is on view through January 13th.
Close to home
The students of Kingston City Highschool are exhibiting work made in WSW’s Art-In-Education program at Kingston Artist’s Collective, 63 Broadway, Kingston NY. The exhibition, Suggested Narrative, is up through the month of December.
