Silkscreen

In WSW’s Silkscreen studio, artists can screenprint on paper or fabric, using traditional or photo techniques. We only use water based/acrylic media. For a fee, we can also make screens for artists who are working on projects outside of our studios.

Learn more about renting our studios here, or contact our Studio Manager Chris Petrone at [email protected] or (845) 658-9133 for more information.

The silkscreen studio is up a flight of 20 wooden stairs and down a short hallway. It has several large worktables, vacuum tables, a lightbox, a darkroom, and a washout booth. Both the sink and washout room have a small step up to access the faucet and hose. The middle worktables are on casters and can be moved around the room. The studio can also be accessed from the back porch (where summer ceramic classes are typically held), which is up a grassy hill and12 exterior wooden steps. If the stairs are an access barrier, bringing materials downstairs and setting up a station may be possible based on staff and space availability
