Junli has been focused on monotype printing with watercolours onto Eastern papers to depict landscapes and beings from her imaginary world, the In-Between Cosmos. She plans to eventually combine these onto Western papers through chine collé to create a pop-up book inspired by her Zhenmushou sculptures, adding a new dimension to her installation work and allowing it to be explored in intimate, everyday spaces. Zhenmushou are traditional Chinese tomb guardians, who enter her work as supernatural spirits within her personal mythology. Her work explores the fragmentation of memory, tradition, narrative, and culture.
