New York

Zarina Hashmi (Artist’s Book Grant resident ’91) has a solo exhibition Zarina: Dark Roads at NYU’s Asian/Pacific/American Institute Gallery, Manhattan. Show runs through February 2, 2018.

Lorrie Fredette (Studio Workspace resident ’10) co-curated the exhibition Indigo: The Seventh Color at LABspace, Hillsdale. Hurry—show closes November 4!

Rejin Leys (Studio intern ’89) is showing work in Uptown: Nasty Women/Bad Hombres at El Museo del Barrio, Manhattan. The exhibition highlights the work of artists addressing sexism, racism, homophobia, media, politics, health, the environment, and violence through various media. Hurry—show closes November 5!

Cheyenne Mallo (Studio intern ’11) will be at the Garrison Art Center Holiday Pottery Sale in Garrison from November 17 – 26; opening reception November 17, 5-7 pm. You can also find her work in Hudson Valley Hullabaloo, Kingston, November 18-19!

Rita MacDonald (Artist’s Book Grant resident ‘94) has a solo show as part of the visiting artist series the Muroff Kotler Visual Arts Gallery, SUNY Ulster, Stone Ridge. Show runs through December 13; reception November 3, 7 pm.

Morgan Allen, Serena Hocharoen, and El Horsfall (Studio interns ’17) have their group show ex/changes at the WSW Gallery on 722 Binnewater Ln, Kingston. Show runs November 14-28; opening reception November 14, 5-6 pm.

Tana Kellner (WSW Co-founder) is showing work in the group exhibition What Is That Leaping In Your Chest at Collarworks, Troy. Show runs November 10 – December 20; opening reception November 10, 5-8 pm.

Cheyenne Mallo (Studio intern ’11) is showing work in Function or Form: Utilitarian Art at Catskill Center’s Erpf Gallery. Show runs November 18 – January 6, 2018; reception November 17, 6-8 pm.

Lise Prown (Chili Bowl Workspace resident ’17) is showing work in Give Us the Vote, A Contemporary Art Exhibition at Arts Westchester, White Plains. Show runs through January 27, 2018.

Phyllis Kudder Sullivan (Studio Workspace resident ’12) is showing work in the group exhibition Of Art and Craft at the Flinn Gallery in the Greenwich Library, Greenwich, CT. Show runs through December 6.

DM Witman (Studio Workspace resident ’12) is showing work in America Now, A Dialogue at the Holocaust and Human Rights Center, Augusta, ME. Show runs through December 20.

Heather Kapplow (Public Art Grant resident ’17) is showing work in the future of work at Fort Point Arts Community. Show runs through January 6, 2018.

DM Witman (Studio Workspace resident ’12) is showing work in We Might Climb a Tree, At Least at Maine Museum of Photographic Arts, Portland, ME. Show runs through January 27, 2018; artist talk November 16, 6-8 pm.

Kathy Hettinga (Artist’s Book Grant resident ’14) is showing her work, Dante’s Inferno: the Gates of Hell, in the Art for Great Books series, Veritas Academy, Lancaster, PA. Show runs through June 1, 2018.

Jen P. Harris (Ora Schneider Grant resident ’12) is showing work in Aviary at the State Historical Museum of Iowa’s Café Barattas, Des Moines, IA. Show runs November 1 – January 29, 2018.

Amy Schmierbach (Art-in-Ed Artist’s Book Grant resident ’99, Studio intern ’96) has a solo exhibition at 5.4.7 Art Center in Greensburg, KS. Show runs through November 15.

Jen P. Harris (Ora Schneider Grant resident ’12) and Rachel Kauff (Studio intern ’12) have the two-person exhibition Bridge Work in Des Moines, IA. Show runs November 4 – December 14; reception November 30. Find details on Jen’s website.
