Paula McCartney

Paula McCartney makes photographs and artist books that explore the idea of constructed landscapes and the way that people interact with and manipulate the natural world. Paula earned an M.F.A. in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute. Her photographs have been exhibited across the U.S. and are included in numerous public collections including the Museum of Contemporary Photography, the Museum of Modern Art, the Walker Art Center, Stanford University and Yale University, among others. Paula’s artist book, Bird Watching, was created with a grant from WSW in 2006 then published as an expanded monograph by Princeton Architectural Press in 2010. Silas Finch published her second monograph, A Field Guide to Snow and Ice, in 2014.
