#FirstFriday: October Exhibitions

October 1, 2025 by

Every month, we highlight exhibitions, events, and workshops that feature WSW alumnx artists. We share the shows near and far that make up our monthly must-see list.

October 3 – December 12: Join us at Women’s Studio Workshop for the opening of Emily Larned’s solo exhibition WORKSHOPPING. The show will explore conceptual workshops from the archives of WSW and culminate with the release of a new publication through her imprint Alder & Frankia (est. 2016), which focuses on new collaborations, anthologies, and reissues from feminist archives. The opening reception will be October 3rd from 6-8 PM, with a film screening the following afternoon, October 4th, at 4 PM, of A Culinary Uprising: The Story of Bloodroot (directed and shot by Annie Laurie Medonis). The screening will take place at the Rosendale Theatre and tickets can be purchased here.
