This class is designed for students who are looking to expand their skill set in clay and develop a personal style and aesthetic in the medium of wheel-thrown pottery. Participants will work independently on projects, helping them to master more advanced techniques, such as trimming, handle attachment, surface decoration and glazing. Class time will include instructor demos and independent work time with one-on-one instructor assistance.

Rachel Dubicki is a Hudson Valley native. In May of 2015, she received her BFA from Alfred University where she concentrated in ceramics, making functional tableware and using the wheel as her primary tool. After undergraduate, Rachel joined WSW as a Chili Bowl Workspace Resident. Since finishing, she has moved back to the area and is now an active member of the local art community and continuing her studio practice at Women’s Studio Workshop.
