In this five-week introductory course, students will break down the throwing process and focus on form and technique. Group demonstrations will revolve around wedging, centering, wall pulling, trimming, and glazing to equip you with all the skills needed for wheel-throwing.
$275 members/$312 non-members. Tuition includes one bag of clay and firing fees. Registration is online only. Students register on a first come, first serve basis and your spot in the class is only guaranteed once WSW has received your payment in full through the website. Lena Chin received her BFA in Ceramics from SUNY New Paltz in 2018. Chin is interested in the physical movement of surface and its interaction with illustration. She creates porcelain wares that promote intimate moments, rewarding the observant viewer with intricate details. She has exhibited at Samuel Dorsky Museum, Art Centro, and the Women’s Studio Workshop Gallery. She was born and maintains a studio practice in the Hudson Valley.
