Your sketchbook can be a place to record observations, experiment with materials, or develop ideas. During this workshop, we’ll learn how to make our own sketchbooks, and try a variety of drawing exercises to help us loosen up and expand on our ideas about what our work can be. Rather than working towards a finished product, we’ll be experimenting with materials and techniques, and asking ourselves “What would happen if I try this? If I combine these things? If I add/remove/wet/erase/fold/tear/change this?” Great for anyone who is experiencing artist’s block, or just wants to develop new directions to integrate into their work.
