Sue Carrie Drummond is an Artist’s Book Grant alumna. She is a papermaker, printmaker, and book artist investigating the relationship between emotional damage and repair as it relates to the corporeal body. Referencing cloth and skin through surface treatment, she physically exposes and reveals the way painful experiences, both small or large, accrue over time and leave a lasting mark.

Drummond is Assistant Professor of Studio Art at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. She was both a studio assistant in papermaking at Penland School of Crafts and the artist-in-residence at Minnesota Center for Book Arts during the summer of 2015. Drummond has taught workshops at MCBA and Purple Word Center for Book and Paper Arts. She has exhibited widely, including numerous recognized group exhibitions at such venues as the Abecedarian Gallery, the Temple Contemporary, and Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts. She received her MFA in Book Arts and Printmaking from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Millsaps College with a BA in Studio Art.
