Join this year’s chili bowl expert in pinching, stretching, cutting, pushing, and pulling clay into form. Whether you’re interested in making pottery or ceramic sculpture, this class will assist you in learning new skills and techniques. Take ideas from concept to finished glazed piece with the help of group demos and personalized instruction. All skill levels welcome.
$160 members/$180 non-members. Tuition includes one bag of clay and firing fees. Registration is online only. Students register on a first come, first serve basis and your spot in the class is only guaranteed once WSW has received your payment in full through the website. Laura Casas grew up in Columbia, North Carolina. She received her bachelors in studio art from Western Carolina University in 2018 where she focused on ceramics. Much of her inspiration is gathered from personal experiences and her background in printmaking. Her work has been exhibited in places such as the Asheville Art Museum’s Pop-Up gallery Museum on the Slope and Tamarindo Guayaba in Pachuca, Mexico City, Mexico.
