Maureen Cummins

Maureen Cummins first came to WSW from Brooklyn for an Artist’s Book Residency in 1998, producing Crazy quilt in the letterpress and silkscreen studios. In 2000, she did a workspace residency (formerly fellowship) in the silkscreen studio. She returned in 2003 for a second book arts residency to produce The Business is Suffering. In 2006, the artist did a workspace residency in the letterpress studio.

Maureen studied art at Cooper Union. She now lives and works in Bearsville, NY and regularly prints in WSW’s letterpress and silkscreen studios. Her work is represented in over one hundred public collections internationally.
