Available while supplies last, limited edition postcards featuring four photographs from 1978 and 1982 from WSW’s archive. Postcards are 5”x7” uncoated, and each pack contains two of each of the following:
Postcard 1: Ananda Saha using Letraset typefaces to make a paste-up. 1978.
Postcard 2: Barbara Hammer supervising balloon prep with sound engineer Nat Boxer and WSW co-founder Ann Kalmbach, for her screening of Available Spaces and Moon Goddess at Loafer’s Inn, Rosendale, NY. 1982.
Postcard 3: WSW co-founder Anita Wetzel with Gayle Sasson’s bra kite at the Women Invent New Gallery Spaces (W.I.N.G.S), Flying Objects event, New Paltz airport. July 4, 1979.

In addition to teaching studio skills such as papermaking, printmaking, and book arts, Women’s Studio Workshop (WSW) has offered workshops that are more experimental, personal, conceptual, or exploratory in nature, rooted in self-observation, inquiry, listening, embodiment, performance, study, and dreams. Here are a few in their original form as they were published in WSW newsletters and Summer Art Institute catalogs from 1983–1999.
Efemmera Reissue No. 8: Workshopping at WSW was created by Emily Larned as part of her exhibition Workshopping, installed at Women’s Studio Workshop from October 3, 2025 – January 23, 2026, Rosendale, NY, curated by WSW archivist Faythe Levine.
