During this workshop, participants will learn to transform freshly formed sheets of handmade paper into finished masterpieces with pulp paints. Participants will walk away with a full understanding of how to make paper, mix pulp paints, and execute a pulp-paint-focused project. Participants will be encouraged to explore, experiment, and push the boundaries of pulp painting as an art practice.


Candy Alexandra González

Candy Alexandra González is a Latinx papermaker, printmaker, book artist, and poet from Miami, FL. In their visual and written work, Candy Alexandra centers the narratives of Latinx immigrants and captures the essence of their own experiences as a queer, first generation Latinx immigrant in the United States. Candy Alexandra received their BA in Romance Languages and Literature from Mount Holyoke College in 2014 and their MFA in Book Arts and Printmaking from The University of the Arts in 2017. They are currently serving as Adjunct Faculty at Moore College of Art and Design.
