In this workshop we will explore letterpress printing and a variety of experimental inking techniques that will help you create stunning, one-of-a-kind prints with depth and dimension. Working with both traditional and contemporary approaches to creating relief prints, participants will use a variety of materials such as wood, metal, and carved plates to create unique work that tells a story. You will learn how to work with brayer offset inking methods, painting on the type, ghost prints, ink wiping techniques and more. Demonstrations will include multiple techniques and then participants are encouraged and supported in creating self-guided prints. Each participant will go home with new printing processes and a portfolio of unique prints. All experience levels are welcome.
