Tara Sabharwal is an international artist, India-born and US-based for 30 years. She graduated from Baroda and Royal College of Art, London. Over a career that spans 35 years, she has had more than 40 solo shows. She received the British Council, Myles Meehan, and Durham Cathedral fellowships (UK), and the Joan Mitchell and Gottlieb fellowships (USA), among others. She has taught at the Guggenheim and Rubin Museums, Cooper Union, Studio in a School, CUNY, Robert Blackburn Workshop and the Women’s Studio Workshop. Her work is in the collection of the Victoria and Albert, DLI, and British Museum (UK) and the Peabody Essex Museum, New York Public Library, and the Library of Congress (USA).
