Errors of the Amanuensis: or the Calumny of the Secretary is a story about an impertinent secretary using simple text and binary code. Each page includes a ‘big word’ that is slightly familiar but which most of us could not exactly define. That word, in caps, is illustrated by its translation into binary code. A take off of the ‘For Dummies’ series of books is tucked into the back cover decoding the message. The book was letterpress printed in Germany during an artist’s residency at the Hessisches Landesmuseum fur Industriekultur.
