Susan Hamburger
Susan Hamburger is a visual artist living and working in Brooklyn, New York. She holds a BA from Brandeis University, an MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University and an MA from The City College of New York, CUNY. Her awards include fellowships from Dieu Donné Papermill, The Wassaic Project Print Studio and The National Academy Abbey Mural Workshop; residencies at Ucross, Jentel and Saltonstall Foundations and The Millay Colony, and New York studio residencies at PS122, Abrons Art Center and Chashama. In October 2025 she will gave a solo exhibition with Asya Geisberg Gallery in Tribeca, and she included in the 2024 Brooklyn Artists Exhibition at The Brooklyn Museum. Her work was featured in American Craft Magazine and an issue of Cultural Politics (Duke University Press) with a personal essay. From 1996-2002 she was the contributing art editor for Waterfront Week, covering Williamsburg’s nascent art scene.
