Ruthe Karlin
Ruthe Karlin has been making books for many years. Beginning with simple compilations of her own photographs, Ruthe has created more than a hundred books that combine all aspects of bookmaking; structure, binding, paper, printing and font to explore such themes as climate change, the absurdities of pharmaceutical advertising, living in a pandemic, dead fish, and trees. Recently she has turned to personal issues, such as hearing loss, balance and other challenges of life for someone in her ninth decade.
