Kristen DeGree

Kristen DeGree was raised in North Dakota and came to WSW by way of Seattle, WA. During her year as a studio intern, she developed a method of transferring photographic images to wet clay that could then be molded into any shape. She used this technique to create rumpled ceramic “dollar bills” for her intern exhibition. Kristen went on to earn an MFA in intermedia arts and printmaking at University of Iowa.
