Allora McCullough

Allora received her BBA in Economics and Finance from McKendree University and an MFA in Ceramics from the State University of New York in New Paltz. She has received several grants and scholarships for her artistic work and has experience teaching at all levels. She has worked with such artists as Carolee Schneemann, Kathy Erteman, and Jerilyn Virden. Allora was recently included in exhibits at Greenpoint Gallery in Brooklyn, Hunter College in New York City, and SUNY Plaza in Albany. She uses ceramic materials and mixed media to create narratives about overcoming challenges and difficulties in life. Ultimately, she is searching for a physical representation of the human soul. This elusive concept keeps her research focused around psychology, consciousness theory, and world religions.
