We all know the drill: each year nonprofit organiz We all know the drill: each year nonprofit organizations host fundraising galas. They ask their supporters to spend hundreds of dollars on tickets, everyone has to put on their most uncomfortable fancy clothes, and the organization devotes countless hours and funds putting on a big to-do.

What if we challenge the norm of what philanthropy looks like? What if you could be philanthropic without a pricey ticket or black-tie getup?

Instead of a traditional gala, we are excited to kick off a more equitable model of fundraising events: the first Women’s Studio Workshop Night of a Thousand Dinners (NOTD), to be held on Thursday October 19, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm Eastern time! Here’s how it works:

-You invite some friends over for dinner in support of WSW
-Each of your guests makes a contribution to our cause– You can make a donation as small as $15 or shoot for the moon. You know your crowd best, so you decide the appropriate donation request
-It can be an elaborate wine tasting or as simple as a pizza party, and what you choose to offer is 100% up to you
-During your dinner you tune into our live Zoom programming, and we’ll give a brief overview of who we are and what we do
-Know that you made a deep philanthropic impact, from the comfort of your own home!

We are looking forward to a fun and festive evening among WSW friends and supporters. If you’re interested in hosting, please contact Wanda Chin at wanda (at) wsworkshop.org
