Ruth McKinney Burket

Ruth graduated with her MFA from SUNY New Paltz in 2011. She lives and works in the Hudson Valley NY where she manages the ceramic studio at Women’s Studio Workshop. Her favorite use of silkscreen transfers is as a catalyst for collaboration. For 12 years Ruth has been collecting the drawings of local artists, WSW residents, and studio interns and turning them into silkscreen transfers to produce collaborative surface decorations for the annual Chili Bowl Fest fundraiser. Most recently she has been printing handwritten food recipes and children’s drawings from around the world onto plates in her participatory social art project Feast For All Peoples.
