Nancy Diessner
Nancy Diessner’s artwork emerges from her background in painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, and digital image manipulation. Incorporating all these media, her photopolymer intaglio prints explore the mysterious and complex connection between humans and animals, at the same time expressing our human longing for and isolation from the “other.” After 17 years as a college professor, where she also developed a printmaking studio and concentration, she left full-time teaching to gain a better balance between teaching and studio time. She is an Executive Board Member of Boston Printmakers, and shows bi-annually at Bromfield Gallery in Boston. Nancy received her BA in painting, printmaking, and drawing from Bennington College and her MFA in painting and sculpture from Hunter College in New York City.
