Kathleen O’Connell

Kathleen O’Connell is an educator, printmaker, book artist, type and lettering enthusiast, pre-pandemic traveler, intra-pandemic mother, amateur garden grower, and former ferry boat deckhand, all of which inform her artistic practice. Since 2009, she has collaborated with artists/studios in Peru producing multiple artist’s book projects. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is part of the collections at the University of California–Berkeley, University of Wisconsin–Madison, Vanderbilt University, Yale and the Target Corporation. Kathleen has led workshops at Penland and the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum. She is an Associate Professor at Middle Tennessee State University.
