The ‘Pause Apothecary

Produced as part of a growing movement to de-stigmatize menopause, The ‘Pause Apothecary began as an installation commissioned to help launch the first US national non-profit about menopause, Let’s Talk Menopause, in 2022. Taking the form of a fantastical pharmacy, each product addresses an aspect of menopausal and peri-menopausal experience. The ‘Pause Apothecary is a catalog advertising the installation’s products, inviting awareness around experiences and building solidarity across healthcare issues impacted by gender-based discrimination, like menopause, abortion, and gender-affirming care.
