We got to peek in on an artist's book production m We got to peek in on an artist's book production meeting with current artist in residence Sky Syzygy @sky.syzygy and we are absolutely drooling over the marbling on these mockups! Feeling very excited for this publication.
Studio work by current artist-in-residence Angela Studio work by current artist-in-residence Angela Davis Fegan @davistint . This powerful work is printed on handmade paper made from repurposed denim gathered from artists, poets, friends, and the artist’s own father who passed in 2016. The artist is drawn to denim because of its multifaceted and often conflicted nature. As the byproduct of two colonial thefts, cotton and indigo, it’s treated as the garb of the proletariat, but Davis Fegan posits that perhaps it is the uniform of manifest destiny.

There is a lot to be excited about on our six day There is a lot to be excited about on our six day tour of the internationally acclaimed museums and art residency programs in Wisconsin... We're especially looking forward to the private two day moveable type letterpress workshop at Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum @hamiltonwoodtype in Two Rivers--America’s largest and longest wood type maker, and the world’s greatest collection of type and letterpress tools. No experience is needed and everything you need will be provided, including instruction, tools, and materials. The workshop will kick off with a tour of the facilities and a behind-the-scenes look at the collections. From 9am-4pm each day students will have access to the pressroom with nine cabinets of wood type. With direction from workshop leaders, everyone will work on their own press for both days and can expect to design three layouts and take home approximately 50 prints. What else can you expect on this art adventure? Learn more through the link in our bio.
