Valerie Dearing came to WSW to work in our papermaking studio after independently receiving a Maryland State Arts Council Award to develop a body of work in paper. She holds an MFA in weaving and fabric design from the University of Michigan School of Art, and has more than 30 years of experience teaching art to students of all ages and levels. She lives and works in Ohio.
