We’re having a blast at BOOKSMART at the Art on We’re having a blast at BOOKSMART at the Art on Paper Fair! Thanks to @centerforbookarts for putting this together!
*New artist's book alert!* Erebid/Materia features *New artist's book alert!* Erebid/Materia features two of artist Michelle A M Miller's poems nestled among pulp painted abstract imagery on handmade paper. Conceived as an elegy for her father who died in 2021, the writing and imagery are meditations on the artist’s transcendent experiences of caregiving, grief, and the healing power of wonder. Her personal experience of loss conjured bizarre dreams and forgotten memories of both her father and moths. She began to notice moths everywhere in her waking world, creating an uncanny intersection of reality, recollection, and the unconscious. Bound dos-à-dos, from each side emerges a sculptural interior of handmade and printed pages that flutter open to reveal the book’s contents.

Check out the link in our bio to see more of the book!
