Lois Bender came to WSW on a fellowship (now Workspace Residency) to work on a series of layered monoprints based on the visual texture and translucency of water. Lois holds an MFA in painting from Boston University. She has taught art in the Hamptons at many venues including Wolffer Estate Vineyards, Sag Harbor Florist, and LongHouse Reserve. She is also an Adjunct Art Professor at Essex County College in Newark, NJ.
