Diane Miller

Diane Miller attended Music and Art High School, The Brooklyn Museum Art School, Bard College (BA) and Pratt Institute (MFA). She studied printmaking at Manhattan Graphics Center and served on the Board of Directors and the Exhibitions Committee there curating numerous exhibits of international printmakers. Diane was Professor of Studio Art at St. John’s University for 43 years (now retired) and was a Visiting Professor at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Diane’s work has been presented in over ten solo exhibitions in the U.S. and abroad and 75 group exhibitions. Her work combines papermaking, printmaking and collage and is focused on the endangered beauty of the natural world. At WSW, Diane was awarded a fellowship (now Workspace Residency) to work in the papermaking studio. The artist has also done residencies at Provincetown Workshop, Dieu Donne Papermill, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Kalani Honua Cultural Institute, Hawaii, and Centrum in Washington State.
