Dawn Gettler came from Chicago as an artist-in-residence. She began her residency by printing the text “i regret to inform you” on 142 sheets of paper and next flocked the text with salt. The sheets were then hung from the ceiling of the WSW gallery, and a fan on the opposite wall was situated to gently blow the salt off the paper, fading the text over time. Dawn also used tar paper as a printing surface in both the screen print and intaglio studios.
