Mariona Barkus is an internationally exhibited artist whose practice encompasses sociopolitical graphics, books, sculpture, and abstract painting. With support from WSW, Mariona produced Illustrated History – 1985, her fifth issue in a series of postcard books, at her home studio in Culver City, California. This ongoing series explores the comical absurdity of contemporary American life. Mariona currently lives and works in Los Angelos, CA.
