Mara Hyman is originally from Baltimore, MD, and has spent the last 6 years in Richmond, VA where she earned a BFA in Painting and Printmaking with a Gender Studies minor from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013. Mara’s work ranges from photocopied zines to letterpress, screen print, and intaglio. Her art practice is not limited to the studio, as she was an organizer for the Richmond Zine Fest, and has taught various art programs to both kids and adults in schools, studios, and jails.
