An American artist born in Cuba, Lydia Rubio makes multi-disciplinary works including multi-paneled paintings and architecturally integrated installations. Her work has been exhibited extensively and placed in collections across the US. At WSW, she came to work in our etching studio to explore the fragmentation of the organized whole by creating modular, rearrangeable prints. Lydia holds an M.Arch. from Harvard School of Design and has taught at Harvard School of Design, Parsons, and the University of Puerto Rico.
