Laimah Osman
Laimah Osman is a Afghan-American artist who works primarily with poetry, prints, drawings, and artist’s books. Her work brings context and complexity to mainstream representations of Muslim women. At WSW, she continued a series of vibrant, screen-printed visual poems with TEND(H)ER (2015), which pays homage to political artist and activist Sister Corita Kent. Laimah received her MFA from Pratt Institute in 2010.
