Karen Kunc

Karen Kunc is best known for her colorful, abstract woodcut prints. She was awarded a WSW production grant for her artist’s book Truly Bone, full of biomorphic abstractions, geometric permutations, and natural icons alongside poetry by Hilda Raz. Karen earned her MFA at Ohio State University and is currently the Cather Professor of Art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and the curator and publisher of Blue Heron Press. Her work is held in over 150 collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; The Walker Art Center; and the National Museum of American Art.
