Judy Vasseur

Judy Vasseur came from Brooklyn to work in the ceramic studio. In addition to workin on her own pots Judy helped make bowls for WSW’s annual Chili Bowl Fiesta. In NYC Judy works at Greenwich House Pottery.

We are so excited to announce our newest program M We are so excited to announce our newest program Meet & Make Mondays! Gather in community at WSW and dedicate time to making together. Bring a friend or make some new ones while attending! Meetings will be once a month on Mondays between 6PM to 8PM, drop in for a little bit or stay awhile. Join us for our first gathering on February 9th to make valentines for your friends, family, and sweethearts.❤️❤️❤️ ⭐ Light snacks and refreshments will be provided as we explore different themes each month. ⭐ No experience needed and skillshare is encouraged! ⭐ Materials will be provided but feel free to bring in additional supplies or projects you are working on. ⭐ A suggested sliding scale donation of $5-20 is encouraged but no one is turned away for lack of funds. 🔗 in bio for more info.
In solidarity with the January 30 National Shutdow In solidarity with the January 30 National Shutdown, Women’s Studio Workshop is participating in an economic blackout and will temporarily suspend payment processing for the day. This pause is a small but intentional gesture of support for collective action, and for movements challenging systems of state violence and inequity. Today marks the start of the one week members only Today marks the start of the one week members only registration period for WSW’s Summer Art Institute (SAI) workshops! 📅Registration opens to the public on Wednesday, February 4th. ☆Artist Opportunity☆ Applications are now open for ☆Artist Opportunity☆ Applications are now open for the Public Art Mural Grant, a 2-week residency in which an artist will create an original work for WSW’s mural wall. The non-flexible dates of this opportunity are June 15th - 28th, 2026. The grant includes a $1,000 stipend, $500 for materials, $250 for travel, and free on-campus housing. Apply by 11:59PM EST on March 1st. Details on website. Link in bio for more info. Check out this sneak peak into this year’s workshop selection… This summer we’ll be offering a two-day, weekend workshop! Join Dee Clements @studio_herron for “Contemporary Basket Weaving: A Weekend Special,” August 1+2. We also have an exciting selection of 20+ week-long intensive workshops including “Pulp as Ink: Layered Screenprinting in Handmade Paper” with Nazanin Noroozi @nazaninnoroozi from August 3 - 7, and “I Love Your Layers” with Shelley Thorstensen @shelley.thorstensen from August 10 - 14. Spots fill quickly, so if you’d like first dibs on our line up, consider registering for a membership today. Members receive one-week early access to registration, which will begin on January 28th. Registration will open to the public on February 4th.

☆Internship Opportunities☆ Applications are now op ☆Internship Opportunities☆ Applications are now open for the fall term of Women’s Studio Workshop’s Studio and Nonprofit Management Internship positions. Apply by 11:59PM EST on March 15th! This application period is for the Spring/Summer 2027 term. 🏠Our studio interns work on projects that may include printmaking, letterpress, papermaking, and book arts, in addition to assisting with the ongoing operations of the facility, and our nonprofit management intern focuses on arts organization operations, writing, and public relations. All internships grant studio access to WSW’s studio facilities, and include a private room in WSW’s on-campus Anne Atwood House, and a monthly stipend. Link in bio for more info.
