Joshua Beckman is a poet who came to WSW as an Artist’s Book Resident to create There Is an Ocean, a collection of six prose poems about young men’s encounters with bodies of water. A graduate of Hampshire College, Joshua is the author of six poetry collections and a recipient of numerous awards, including a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship and a Pushcart Prize. He is currently an editor at Wave Books and has translated numerous works of poetry and prose for small independent presses.
