Indigo Som is a visual artist and poet working in fiber and mixed media, as well as letterpress and photocopy artists’ books, under her bitchy buddha press imprint. She was awarded a WSW production grant for her artist’s book He Likes You, a set of folded “fortune tellers” (or “cootie catchers”) that takes a look at the complexity of adolescence and sexuality. Indigo earned her BA at UC Berkeley. Her work is held in collections such as the Getty Center, the University of Southern California, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
