Esmeralda Jiménez Cortés was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. She studied photography at the House of Culture of Zapopan and Visual Arts at the University of Guadalajara. She has exhibited individually in the Art and Culture Forum, in the Ajolote Contemporary Art Gallery, in the Lopez Portillo House Museum and in the Juan Soriano Gallery, among other individual exhibitions. In 2017, the Secretary of Culture of the Government of Jalisco published her book, “Nuitne la historia de su viaje y su regreso a casa”. Currently she continues to work on personal projects in sculpture, painting and photography.
