Ellen Wallenstein is a photographer and book artist whose work is represented in collections such as the Brooklyn Museum, the Center for Creative Photography, the Museum of the City of New York, the Performing Arts Library at Lincoln Center, and the University of Texas at Austin. She was awarded a WSW production grant for her artists’ book A Game of Chess.

Ellen holds an MFA in photography from Pratt Institute and studied bookmaking at Visual Studies Workshop. She is a New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) Photography Fellow, and a Professor of Art at the Pratt Institute and the School of Visual Arts, where she teaches photography and book arts.
