As summer rolls around, we wanted to take a look b As summer rolls around, we wanted to take a look back in time to some of our favorite artist books and objects from our archive!

"Grandma Clock" by Liz Zanis was first published at WSW back in 2004. Made out of screenprinted balsa wood, the book is an ode to the artist’s beloved grandma and her clock; the text inside of the book is based on a favorite family anecdote regarding the clock. The book itself sits inside a slipcase structure which is a grandma clock facsimile also made of screenprinted balsa wood.

This book encapsulates narrative storytelling in both tactile and poetic ways, through the unique use of material and language but also scale. What's a childhood memory you have that you would want to make an artist book/object for?
