Dawn McCusker (née Hachenski) came to WSW as an Artist’s Book Resident to produce The Prairies, a rumination on a pristine landscape transformed into an endangered ecosystem. Dawn earned her MFA at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is an Assistant Professor at James Madison University, where she teaches typography, letterpress, artists’ books, and book design. Dawn also runs Press Girl Press, a small letterpress studio dedicated to design, education and professional practice.
